This painting was inspired by a day spent hiking last Summer at Windfall Lake. In 40 degrees Celsius weather during a heat wave, in the blazing sun, we walked in shorts and t-shirts on top of soft snow. It was the most wonderful, refreshing contrast. The vibrant colours in this painting are intended to emit the joy and exhilaration that we all felt that day as a group, picnicking, polar dipping, and “boot-skiing” down the slopes in bathing suits in the snow in the alpine!
