This is an attempt to combine fall colours with the abstraction of spotted paints and appaloosas, I spent a lot of time at Tex Verkerks ranch at Lone Prairie and the view of Elephant Ridge inspired the background. Everytime I visit this area I am amazed that Hollywood hasn’t used it as a western backdrop…it is just so gorgeous. I used to own a great mountain horse…an Apaloosa and I have a fondness for these great, long-winded horses.
