I’m asked quite often why I would want to live in the harsh northern climate?
The long dark days of winter can be miserable if you are not able to enjoy the short spurts of beauty that unfold before you. The rising and setting of the sun in our region is a stunning but short-lived display.
In my art I try to capture those fleeting moments.
The sun setting behind the tree line looked like a brilliant mosaic of stained glass with the last light temporarily warming everything it touched.
