Fully carved model totem pole. Scale is 1:12, making this 44.5ft tall and 5ft wide at the bottom if it was at full scale. This project took considerable amount of planning to incorporate all the elements and getting all the detailed lines carved. Although I have roots from the coast and the in the far north, the two cultures have many similarities in spiritual beliefs and their strong connection to Mother Earth. These elements are meaningful to me and if I was to create a totem full size one day, it would look like this, with a few slight modifications 😉
