Love or hate him, Donald Trump has become a familiar household icon in our society.
I find him to be a fascinating person who has this uncanny ability to evoke a reaction from both sides of the political sphere. His haters relished the idea of their worst enemy finally being seen as the criminal they believe him to be, and the mug shot proves their point, making history by being the first president ever in such a position.
On the other side his historic mug shot has become a symbol of justice that gives hope and courage to his supporters, reassuring them that he is in the fight, and will fight for them as well.
As an artist I wanted to explore and share the intensity of this polarizing political character by creating my own version of the iconic mugshot.
