Artist Statement
| I visited Quality Falls in winter when the waterfall was frozen and silent. Only the faintest gurgle of sound could be heard in stark contrast to summer’s cacophony and life. In my painting, despite my desire to paint that sense of stillness, what I see instead is strength and energy held in check, suspended momentarily but still vividly alive. |
