This painting shows the Peace River at Alwin Holland Park looking down from a rocky outcropping across the water to the cliffs and islands that rise up. This large piece was started with a detailed underpainting, followed by many sessions in the studio, layering passages of oil paints and glazes to add depth to the rocks above and below the water.
