Painting was once the place where I saw at certainty and safety, but the true power of art is in allowing yourself to show up and be seen. If art is a reflection of the artist, I fear that what it reveals will be mundane or unremarkable. And yet authenticity and honesty is the best A thing I have to offer. Flowers symbolize to me that same vulnerability in their delicacy, and the authenticity of blooming with abandon.
